Mabel League Field Rules

The current Softball Canada Rule Book will be adopted by the Mabel League and all rules and regulations of Softball Canada will be followed and applied to league play unless otherwise stated.

The following rules apply to all fields:

Out of Bounds

Any area beyond the backstop fence running down first and third base line is considered out of bounds.  If a ball is caught and unintentionally carried out of bounds, the batter is out and all runners are awarded one base.

If a fly ball hits branches or tree overhanging the backstop or baseline fence, it is a dead ball. Runners return to last base.
