Meet Mabel
February or March
This is an in person, pre-season event that’s meant to allow folks who are interested in joining a team to mingle with teams who are recruiting for that year.
Kickoff
April
This is not a recruitment event, but rather a social event for players and non-players alike, meant to bring some fun and community to the start of the season.
Skills Clinics
April +/- May
Each year skills clinics are offered, for free, and lead/supported by league members comfortable in those skills.
LIL Tournament
Last weekend in May
This is an annual tournament open to the Mabel League teams (though not required) and to external teams (subject to space constraints).
Operating since 1986 this is a marquee event in the season, with its signature costume parade and emphasis on community and fun.
Night at the Nat
July
League members make an annual trip to Nat Bailey Stadium to watch the Vancouver Canadians – a minor league baseball team and the Toronto Blue Jays High-A affiliate.
Finals Tournament
July
The finals tournament is the last event of the season, and includes all teams from the league battling it out for final standings.
AGM
Second Monday in September
The league is required to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of its members in order to elect the Executive for the coming season and to review and vote on any proposals from the members.
